Today, we'll pick the green beans again - every other day. The 3 older kids are big enough to help pick; they snap all of the beans before we freeze them. We'll have the first tomatoes and cucumbers in a few days!
My children love doing this. We haven't had the pleasure picking our own, but a dear saint in ou church shares from his garden. The children snap the ends... I steam them and put garlic butter over them and the children eat them like candy. There is nothing like fresh veggies. We can't wait to get some land of our own so we can plant a real garden. We are praying and know that the Lord will bless :)
